یہ کتاب کتبِ احادیث کے ماخذ پر مشتمل رسول اللہ ﷺ کے الوداعی حج ( جسے عرف عام میں حجۃ الوداع کہا جاتا ہے ) کی سر گزشت کا تین پہلوئوں سے احاطہ کرتی ہے جن کو درج ذیل حصوں میں بیان کیا گیا ہے۔
پہلا حصہ: صحا بہ و صحابیات رضی اللہ عنھم و عنھن کے حجۃ الوداع کے دوران مشاہدات پر مشتمل ہے۔جس میں احادیث کی روشنی میں آپﷺ کے الوداعی حج کی نہایت ہی دلفریب منظر کشی ہوتی ہے جو اس موضوع پر ایک منفرد کاوش ہے۔
دوسرا حصہ: حجۃ الوداع کے موقع پر فرمائے گئے رسول اللہ ﷺ کے ارشادات پر مشتمل ہے جن کو خطباتِ حجۃ الوداع کہا جاتا ہے۔ شاید ہی ذخیرہ احادیث سے اتنی جامعیت اور حوالہ جات کے ساتھ آپ کو کو خطباتِ حجۃ الوداع کسی ایک کتاب میں مل سکیں۔

مصنف کے بارے میں

اﷲتعالیٰ کی رحمت ِ خاصہ سے مصنف دو دہائیوں سے تعلیم و تربیت کے شعبہ جات سے وابستہ ہے اور اسی کی توفیقِ حسنہ سے اہل علم سے ارادت اوران کو پڑھنے اور سننے کی توفیق اوائل عمری سے ہی مصنف کو نصیب ہوئی۔ مصنف کے سفر ِحج (2017)نے اس علم سے تعلق کو ایسی مبارک کتاب تحریر میں لانے کی سعادتِ سعید کا ذریعہ بنایا(الحمد ﷲ)۔ابتداء میں مصنف کا ارادہ سفر حج کی ایسی رودار ( Travelogue ) لکھنے کا تھا جو مسنون اعمال سے آراستہ ہو۔ اس سفر نامہِ حج کا مسودہ ابھی زیر غور ہے اور اللہ تعالیٰ کے فضل سے یہ کتاب پہلے پایہ تکمیل کو پہنچی۔
