About Author

Shaukat Hayat is a distinguished legal scholar, academic, and researcher specializing in Islamic law and contemporary legal studies. He holds an LL.M in Islamic Law from the International Islamic University, Islamabad, and an LL.M in Commercial & Corporate Law from the University of London, reflecting his strong academic grounding in both traditional Islamic jurisprudence and modern legal systems.

Currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Commercial & Corporate Law at the School of Law, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Shaukat Hayat has dedicated more than 27 years to teaching and research. Throughout his academic career, he has taught at leading institutions, including the International Islamic University, Islamabad, where he contributed significantly to the development of legal education in Pakistan.

His areas of academic interest include the Islamic Judicial System, Commercial and Corporate Law, Procedural Law, and E-Commerce Law. He has authored numerous research papers and scholarly articles, contributing to both national and international legal discourse. His earlier book, A Contemporary Discourse on the Islamic Law of Civil Procedure, further established his reputation as a thoughtful and meticulous researcher in Islamic legal studies.
