About the Author

Zahra Batool is a screenwriter, blogger, and author dedicated to storytelling and advocacy. She began her journey as a blogger before transitioning into screenwriting, and has since ghost-written numerous screenplays for clients worldwide.

Her recent short film, One Step Too Many, which she co-wrote and co-produced, centers on two disabled characters and has received international recognition. The film was officially selected at festivals including the Dushanbe Film Festival, Southeast Asia International Film Festival, Aporia Film Festival, Mediterranio Corto Film Festival, Cinéma Adapté de Montréal, and the Art Divvy Festival 2024.

Alongside filmmaking, Zahra has self-published two books, The Stranger and The Silent Intruder. She is also a public speaker, advocating for disability rights and spinal cord injury awareness, and remains actively involved in projects that amplify marginalized voices.

Beyond her creative work, she is a partner at JAR Solutions and a core member of the Able Plus Organization, both of which align with her mission to foster inclusivity. Through film, writing, and advocacy, Zahra continues to craft narratives that inspire empathy and challenge perceptions.
