  1. Madad Ali

Dr Amna Saeed is one the great Pakistani English writers. I have read her books. She possess a natural style with amazing choice of words. Her poetry spreads fragrance of Keats while her prose is full of spiritually like Elif Shafak. Must read piece of literature.

The book makes you float in and out of the sea of time! Life’s emotional ups and downs dealt with philosophical depth which reveals the sensitivities of human life. A must read for all book lovers.

I’am still under the spell of this collection of short, though pithy, stories, which kept me riveted till the end. My experience of perusing the timeless tales is like exploring a treasurechest full of the pearls of love, delight, wisdom and spiritual maturity. Amazed to know how the author has delved deep into the fourth dimension of the universe, time, linking it to spirituality, I highly appreciate the height of her intellect and divine cognizance. Even though all the stories are independent, they, one way or the other converge upon the theme of illusive love as well as ethereal LOVE. Another adhesive force behind the stories is feministic approach, allowing the female characters to be bold and self-actualized. Two of the stories revolving around the charming character of Diya are so engaging, as I would like to expect a complete novel based on them from the author, henceforth. Besides powerful characterization, the language, despite being lucid and flowing, at times, feels merrily poetic due to beautiful depiction of all-encompassing Mother Nature and its healing impact on the characters, particularly, in the terminal story, Noorwali. Having said that, the book is worth reading over and over again because of its depth, cathartic effect and emotional and spiritual appeal. Just love it!!! ❤️❤️

Still spell bound by what a magnum opus Dr Amna Saeed has created, I feel obliged to appraise this collection of short, yet pithy and riveting stories. The mistic title page corresponds well to the mystic and surreal nature of the timeless tales converging upon the theme of illusive as well as ethereal LOVE. Amazed to see how the author has delved deep into the 4th dimension of the universe, time, linking it to the divine realms, I immensely appreciate her metaphysical and spiritual cognizance. For the first time, someone from Islamabad has displayed fine artistry, socio-cultural and psychological insight with a keen eye for human nature, and Mother Nature, seeking answers to the ancient questions about the purpose of our existence and the intricate role of love in defining our lives. Two of the stories, revolving around the charming protagonist, Dya, are so engaging, as I would expect a complete novel built on her character from the author henceforth. Most of the female characters in this collection are portrayed as bold and self actualized in an employment of feministic approach. Besides powerful characterization, the language, despite being lucid and flowing, at times, feels poetic and picturesque due to beautiful images of fleecy, fluffy clouds, tiny spectrums of raindrops, pearl in oyster, bunyan tree, amaltas pod and so on. The healing impact of nature in the terminal story, Noorwali, is very much inspiring and mesmerising. The way the author has explored the the strong bonding between mother and child, unveiling their tender feelings and wordless communication, in another story, Rida, reflects her writing finnesse and deeper understanding of interpersonal dynamics.
Nonetheless,my experience of perusing “15 Illusions of Love in Life” is like indulging in a treasure chest, full of the pearls of love, delight, wisdom and divinity. The book is worth reading over and over again because of its multi layered meanings, cathartic effect and emotional and spiritual appeal.
    Just love it tremendously! ❤️❤️❤️
